RAW ABIDING CITIZENS PRESENT: Met Gala Fashion & Award Show Sponsored By: The City of Birmingham Vital 94.9 WVTM Boutwell Auditorium J’Corion is the founder of Raw Abiding Citizens, a Birmingham-based fashion company, and is an International Baccalaureate student at Ramsay High School. In 2021, he held a successful fashion show which generated local media coverage. This show featured young designers and creatives from across the Greater Birmingham Area who were able to showcase their merchandise. The Raw Abiding Citizens Fashion Show will shine a positive light on the Boutwell and the City of Birmingham, engaging young people from across the city and bringing attention to their creativity and designs. The show will also consist of an award portion in which local businesses will be nominated by citizens, and voted upon to be recognized as the best in the city. Any profit from the show is intended to go towards opening a brick-and-mortar storefront in Birmingham, bringing a successful small business to even more residents. The Raw Abiding Citizens Fashion Show is a youth fashion show that is aimed to engage both local small businesses and the local community. There will be local talent, such as music artists and comedians, to perform in between appearances. Parking for attendees will be located in the adjacent City of Birmingham Parking Authority-operated parking deck.
