Protective Tactics 3: Drills to work on your Speed, Accuracy, and Close Defense. This class is by invitation only and Skillbuilder 3 is a required prerequisite, as the foundational knowledge you learned in all 3 skill-builders will be necessary. Safety is going to be of utmost importance as we will be working into drills where muzzle discipline and finger discipline are critical. The goal of this class is to increase your draw speed and accuracy, as well as defend against an attacker that is very close to you. We are going to revisit your form and reset you where anything might have gotten "Loose" in order to increase your speed. Speed (Safe Speed) is VERY form dependent. You will work drills at various distances for accuracy then bring you in close to fine tune everything. We are also going to work on utilizing that speed with movement in the event you are attacked within he statistically- likely distance of 3 to 7 feet. Materials: - Outside the Waistband (OWB) holster...kydex or some form of plastic recommended - Magazine holder recommended...magazines in pockets will slow you down...and...it is time to bring your game to a new level. - Semi-Automatic Pistol with at least 2 magazines...more if you have them (3 is ideal) - 200 rounds practice ammo...bring more if you have it just in case (You know how we work). - Hat ...baseball type or anything with a brim. -Hearing Protection - Eye Protection -Closed-Toe shoes - Water....you will need it Any tactical pistol gear you would like to work with or try out in the drills, feel free to bring it.
