WILSONVILLE, OR — Wilsonville wants to see more growth. The city council on Monday voted to move forward with a plan that it says will spur growth in Villebois Village Center and Wilsonvlle Town Center.
The council passed what they call a Vertical Housing Disposition Zone.
The move allows the city to award property tax breaks to developers who build housing whose ground floor is turned over for non-residential use such as stores and other businesses," according to city planning documents.
"It's a strategy to support the vision for vibrant, mixed-use neighborhoods," the city said in a statement.
The city's economic development agency had identified Villebois Center and Wilsonville Town Center as areas that would benefit from the program.
