ALBERTVILLE, MN — A 15-year-old from Albertville was drafted Monday to play for the Sioux Falls Stampede in the U.S. Hockey League. The STMA Knights finished the 2021-22 season with nine wins and 17 losses, MN Hockey Hub statistics show. Cleveland Browns To Sign Former STMA Star As Undrafted Free Agent Smithknecht and other draft selections will be invited to the Sioux Falls Stampede's tryout camp in early June, according to the team. "We are confident and satisfied in our selections today and are excited for the future of Stampede hockey," Riley Colvard, the team's assistant coach and director of scouting, said in a statement. "I am incredibly proud of the work our coaching and scouting staff has put in over the last season to build up our organization with the right talent," Colvard said.
