We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse for our South Suburban Chicagoland area. Job Duties: Supervise administration of medications and perform treatments as ordered by the physician.Record related data per organizational procedure and nursing guidelines and document results.Conduct routine check of and document vital statistics and weights, monitor general medical status, and positive/ negative effects due to medication changes for individuals receiving services.Generate monthly reports to ensure timely scheduling of periodic and annual tests, medical appointments, screenings, dental care, vision care, etc., is ensured for each individual receiving services.Complete necessary medical synopsis form for each individual prior to physician appointments.Maintain documentation of medical services and appointments for individuals receiving services.Ensure a current and accurate medical history, including immunization history, medication history, TD screenings, TB tests, annual examinations, etc., is kept for each individual.Review all lab reports and order non-routine lab reports, following up with physician for all out of range lab reports. Transcribe physician’s orders accurately.Order or discontinue medications from the Pharmacy as necessary, checking inventory for out of date medications, etc., as necessary.Receive and review monthly delivery of medications, physician orders and MARs. Distribute medications, physician orders and MARs to DTs and CILAs.Generate "Notification of Medication Change" forms and distribute to all appropriate personnel and locations.Monitor/maintain stock of nursing supplies and equipment needed for nursing services.Medically evaluate individual receiving services or staff condition as needed.Complete SAMA/Physical Status Review/Health Risk Screening Tool for upon admission and as needed.Support self-advocacy and self-determination of individuals receiving services by giving them the opportunity to make choices and encouraging empowerment whenever possible within the guidelines of the Individuals Service Plan and Behavior Support Plan (if applicable). Required Experience, Education, and/or Training: Hold a current valid Illinois license to practice as a registered nurse with a minimum of one year related work experience. Must meet the training requirements in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and Local standards. Basic user knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook,etc.), and/or other PC applications.Possess valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record per company requirements.
