NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville residents can unload branches and other yard waste once the city's brush collection resumes on May 9.
The brush collection will be separated into cycles for five districts, which coincide with residents' weekly trash pickup. Each collection cycle lasts a week and residents should put their brush on the curb the day before collection is scheduled.
Below is a list of upcoming brush collection dates, listed by a district's typical trash pickup day:
Monday: Brush collection May 9 through May 13Tuesday: Brush collection May 16 through 20 Wednesday: Brush collection May 23 through May 27 Thursday: Brush collection May 31 through June 3 Friday: Brush collection June 6 through June 10The following requirements will be in effect for brush collection:
Branches must be three to eight feet long and smaller than six inches in diameter Branches should be neatly stacked on the home's front parkway with the cut ends facing the streetPiles of brush should not be bundled Thorny branches should be in a separate pile Brush items that are not collected will be tagged with information explaining why it was not picked up. The following items will not be eligible for collection during brush pickup:
Brush piles with items other than branches Vines, willow branches and shorter branches Tangled brush piles; piles that contain stones, nails, metal, plant material and other debris Tree trunks, logs, root ballsClick the link for more information on brush collection in Naperville.
