JOLIET, IL — Joshua Jones, who lives in the 1200 block of Joliet's Arthur Avenue, was arrested Monday night after causing a loud disturbance at the front desk of the Motel 6 on Mall Loop Drive, police announced.
Jones was hauled away in handcuffs around 8:30 p.m. Joliet police have charged him with aggravated assault, criminal trespass to real property and disorderly conduct.
"Officers determined that Jones became upset at staff after they requested that he leave the property after causing a loud disturbance," police spokesman Dwayne English announced. "Officers attempted to escort Jones back to his room to gather his belongings at which time he became irate and began threatening to harm officers."
At one point, the 30-year-old Jones approached the officers ready to fight them, and that's when Joliet police took him into custody without any further problems, police reports show.
However, Jones continued to threaten to physically harm officers after he had been placed in custody, English noted.
