Here are the top three stories in Lakewood today: Lakewood is one of over 45,000 local governments developing their electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. Brandon Branham, assistant city manager and chief technology officer for Peachtree Corners, GA, said that local governments are seeing the need for the technology with the increase in the production of electronic cars. Last month, Lakewood began collecting an EV charging fee of 24 cents per kilowatt-hour at its seven stations. (American City & County)29-year-old Teresa Izarry of Lakewood will be sentenced next month for poisoning her baby several times in 2020. Izarry was found guilty of six counts of felony child endangering for giving her infant son a prescription medication used to lower blood sugar in diabetics. Assistant Prosecutor Jillian Piteo said she has never seen anything quite like this. (WJW FOX 8 News Cleveland)Joshua Martinez turned himself into Lorain police on Monday evening for the shooting and killing of Gerardo Massari. The shooting happened in the alley behind the 1200 block of Oberlin Avenue around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday. 37-year-old Massari died at the hospital from his injuries.
