EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Summer farmers market bliss is coming. Back for its 18th season, opening day for the Evergreen Park Farmers Market is Thursday, May 5. The farmers market happens every Thursday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Oct. 24 at Yukich Field, 89th Street and Kedzie Avenue. Want to be a vendor? Applications for a vendor's permit can be obtained through the Office of Citizen Services at 3450 West 97th Street or by calling 708-422-8776. Shoppers can find an abundance of fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, tasty cuisine for lunch or dinner and much more.
