ALAMEDA, CA — A San Mateo man, 23, was arrested last week in connection with a September home shooting in Alameda, according to officials. The suspect's name was not released by the Alameda Police Department, with the agency adding that the person was taken into custody "without incident" Wednesday. The shooting was logged Sept. 20, shortly after 7 a.m., as officers responded to a gunfire report on Encinal and Park avenues, finding a residence struck with bullet holes. "Thankfully, the homeowners were not present at the time of the incident," the department said. "Through a collaborative effort with out-of-county agencies, a suspect was identified and an arrest warrant was issued," police said. "Whether an incident occurred five minutes ago or five years ago, we are proud of the investment our department has in keeping our community safe and seeking closure for victims," the department said. --------- ALSO SEE: Killing Near Lake Merritt; 'Enough Is Enough': City Council President17-Year-Old Dies In Highway 13, Solo-Vehicle CrashOfficer Injured In Crash At Shooting Scene In Oakland'Breaking Bad' Actors Bryan Cranston & Aaron Paul Headed To Pleasanton
