Rock n Roll singer looking for cover/original serious project

Description
My long term and end goal, would be to find a band that is willing to do say 3-4 (or less depending on the pay lol) sets of music and have, give or take 1-3 originals in each set. It seems bands are in this old and narrow mindset where you MUST either do all covers or all originals. It's such a tired model. I prefer to take a Beatles and/or Stones approach and do both. All the greats did this. What i wish to do is work hard at getting a band sounding good and then just not overthink it all and wail up there and let our light shine. I absolutely love doing covers. But I really don’t consider myself a cover singer. Also all I am finding is either these variety bands that want to do top 40 generic rock and dance stuff, classic rock bar bands, 80’s hair metal tribute types, and anti social metal heads. I can’t stand those business models. And to me, are so outdated it makes me cringe. I feel a two guitar band is what I would ultimately want to be a part of though with dynamics and not be constantly loud and more musical, with some background vocals and definitely a floater utility guy ala Glenn Fry/Brian Jones that can play a multitude of instruments. Once you have a 4 piece core and a tight project it is so easy to find other guitarists or utility type players. My COVER influences (Not who I sound like per se) ie. what I can sing best in my range is as follows: Black Crowes (Robinson solo too) And his newer band “As The Crow Flies”....... I love their approach Mother Love Bone (Before Seattle was called "Grunge") Zeppelin Stones U2 (Joshua Tree-Rattle and Hum era) Doors Free Dylan Alman Bros Beatles Tom Petty Hendrix Johhny Cash Gram Parsons (Flying Burrito Bros my fave with him) Robin Trower Buffalo Springfield And of course many more If we are as good as we all think we are we should be able to agree on a cover setlist, do a month of hard work, and play out wherever we can and after we do that THEN we start trying to possibly write tunes and include them. I am not one of these dudes that wants to sit in recording mode in a stinky carpeted room for 2 years looking at each other waiting 'til it's "Just right" No great band does that stuff in the beginning. They do the work and get the heck out there first. Please don't ask for a video as I have none. I loathe watching myself perform so I usually don't get a video from all the bands I have done. I really suck at self promotion. Something I need to improve on. I apologize. I do have a link with music/pics though for consideration: thecitymonk.bandzoogle.com Thank you for your time
