Lovable German Shepherd Rescue is looking for a new home. I found this adorable guy (Riley) as a stray three months ago and checked in on him to ensure he was doing well before he was adopted by a new family. The alternative was to place him in a shelter, which I chose not to do because the conditions would have harmed his recovery. I ensured he was healthy and recovering from heartworm infection (he has now RECOVERED) and was ready to be re-homed. Given that I already have a dog at home, two dogs would be excessive in the long run, as I am a student with limited resources. Throughout the time I've had him, he's been well behaved and actually quite affectionate and sweet. He tends to bark at other dogs but is not aggressive toward them (I noticed he actually likes to play). He is an excellent family dog for families with children or couples. He is extremely quiet, excited to see you (the owner) when you return home, and has been the most effortless dog experience I have ever had. I'm hoping for someone compassionate and loving to step into the parent role. I am requesting a US$ 150 re-homing fee because I paid for his heartworm treatment ($790) and took excellent care of him. He is ready to go and is waiting to be discovered by you, a caring owner.
