The purpose of the Banquet Set Coordinator is to set, maintain and refresh hotel banquet halls and meeting rooms according to each specific event. This position sets up our banquet and meeting spaces per the client's requests. That means they’re hauling round tables, chairs, dance floors, stages etc. They also may need to do some cleaning as well, like vacuuming, wiping down tables, and tearing down the set. They may also turn right around after a tear down and reset for the next meeting the next day. Responsibilities: To ensure cleanliness and organizations done in a timely manner and to assist supervisor during large functions. The Banquet Set -Up must ensure that all banquet and meeting rooms are properly set in a timely manner, so that the banquet service staff may prepare for functions. Responsible for timely and safe breakdown of meeting rooms after event completion. Must refresh rooms on time, have water in rooms, clean rooms and set for appropriate functions. Qualifications: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. throughout the whole shift. Ability to reach all areas of responsibility to include shelves, windows, ledges, under and around furniture. Continuously standing and/or walking to accomplish all that is required for position. Need to be able to do some cleaning such as vacuuming, wiping down tables, and tearing down sets. Previous experience in event set-up is a plus. Ability to stay until the job is finished. Hours: 4:30pm - 10pm *need to be flexible as need to be able to stay a little later when needed to finish the job. Sunday-Saturday- Flexible on the days your work-create your own schedule!!! Pay: $16.50/hr.
