Thirty years ago, China woke up from a deep sleep and found itself broke and overpopulated. They instituted a one child per family policy and began to manufacture products that Western Nations gleefully abandoned due to labor costs. Commies beating Capitalists at their own game. China lost 22 million people in the 1920's due to famine. In the 2020's they have become the dominant economy despite what you read in the financial press. Looks like our "Information Based" economy was just a pig in a poke.
