In Watertown, the first woman-detective in the police department filed a lawsuit against the town and police union claiming discrimination based on her gender. Kathleen Donohue filed the suit in Middlesex Superior Court last year. The case is now headed to trial. The 36-page complaint claims she faced a "sexually charged and hostile work environment" that pushed her out of the profession.
