I provide motorcycle riding lessons to beginner riders who are not yet ready to take the MSF class, or just want to try riding in a safe format to see if they like it enough to move forward with learning more. I am a practicing licensed Psychologist who is also a motorcycle enthusiast, who has been riding, racing, fixing, building, and teaching motorcycles for 30+ years. I break the training into 3 stages: Stage 1: You learn the basics of riding on my small dirt bike at one of the bay area riding areas between Livermore and Tracy (Carnegie SVRA). No insurance is required, but you will need to sign a release of liability. I will meet you at the riding area, will have gear for you to wear, and we will ride and learn for 1, 2, or 3 hour lessons. All you need to do is show up with a good attitude and the lesson fee. This is geared toward building enough skills to either take the MSF class to get your license, or to be ready to get your own bike and take the license test without the safety course. 1 hour lesson is $100 2 hour lesson is $175 3 hour lesson is $250 Stage 2: This is when you are comfortable enough to get your own bike, insurance, gear, but aren't quite ready to hit the streets alone. I will provide bike specific training for riding and maintenance, and we will ride on the street in low pressure areas to get you comfortable on your bike. $60/hour starting at your location. Stage 3: This is when you are ready to ride on your own!
