Description
Hi everyone, I’m looking for a very special home for my 3 year old service dog in training. I recently found out that I need a bigger dog for mobility tasks so unfortunately I need to find her a new home. She’s a beautiful Standard poodle female, spayed and UTD on shots. She’s fully potty trained, kennel trained and knows many commands.
What she knows :
Sit, down, stay, come, wait, paw, roll over, touch, load up, off, quiet, settle, go crazy, go say hi, focus, watch me, no, heel and up.
I have worked with her for months on her basic obedience and she is now reliable to take out into the public in pet friendly stores. She walks very well on a leash with the help of a halti and is confidant and attentive while working. She’s perfectly calm and quiet in a car, in the bathtub and at home in her kennel.
Her cons :
She can get overexcited meeting new people and will often "excitement pee" when she’s in an overexcited state of mind. It is important that she remains calm before allowing people to pet her and interact with her.
She is sensitive on her paws so nail clipping and shaving the paw area can be a bit difficult if done at home.
She will let out a bark or two when someone knocks at the door until redirected by "quiet".
She will often ignore other dogs but if there’s a big dog coming at her she gets a little bit shy.
She needs to be working or taken out every day to ensure she does not become anxious and pace.
