Hi! We are a well established off-leash hiking and dog training company located in Newton, MA who is looking to expand our team! Our mission is to provide exercise, proper socialization and training for a well-balanced and happy dog for our clients. We also provide pet sitting services to our clients. To get an idea of who we are, check out our website: The Goodhound.com or find us on Instagram/Facebook @TheGoodhound! **If you love dogs, being outside, exercising, learning about dog behaviors, being part of a tight knit team and having a fast paced day, this position may be perfect for you!** Who we are looking for: *Available Monday - Friday 9 AM - 4PM **Must have a medium-large vehicle that can fit 5 dogs (preferably a hatch back, small suv, SUV) *We provide mileage compensation at $.40 a mile!* *A dog lover that has worked with dogs professionally (doggie daycare, dog walking companies or dog trainers). If you don't have professional experience, it's okay - we will train the right person! *Someone that has a positive attitude, good time-management skills and a strong work ethic *A person that is friendly, dependable, professional and a great TEAM player *A person that enjoys exercise and loves spending time outside *Someone who is interested in learning or is already comfortable using different training tools The ideal candidate must have: *A valid drivers license, insured vehicle and clean driving record *Must have a car and be willing to transport dogs (small SUV or hatchback preferable) Note: We will give you protective gear for your car and gas reimbursement *Must have a smart phone ! The Good Hound Experience: *Being responsible for 3-5 dogs and taking them to various off-leash parks to hike *We are a tight knit company and we rely on each other as a team. We embrace what makes you unique and are LGBTQ friendly! *Managing dogs behavior and utilizing different training skills *We communicate with each other all day. It's important that we keep each other updated and informed about our hikes and any issues we have with dogs. This way we can help each other out! *Biweekly staff meetings with coffee and donuts! *After an assessment, you have the opportunity to bring your dog to work with you! *Many opportunities each month for pet-sitting/boarding!
