The Superintendent assists the Project Manager and Executive Vice President with the day to day site construction activities and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality while administering good construction safety practices with all on site activities. Experience supervising all aspects of construction projects for various types’ pf clients and project delivery methods. Essential Functions: Communicates effectively with Field Operations Manager, Project Manager, Subcontractors and Field leaders to ensure project status and any changes are known to all known parties. Provides leadership and customer service for construction services to our clients, resulting in a collaborative owner builder process within budget and with the highest quality project to the client’s satisfaction. Coordinates with the Field Operations Manager, Project Manager, Estimator and other project team members in the preconstruction efforts to ensure the accomplishment of the service objectives and a seamless transition into the construction phase. Continuously monitors the pre planning efforts to ensure all aspects of the project are addressed prior to mobilization and throughout the construction process resulting in professional project management. Reviews and monitors the project budget, construction costs and other financials with the project manager and field leadership team, resulting in the accomplishment of the project objectives and profitability. Establishes project milestones by developing, managing and updating the project schedule in conjunction with the prior manager and field leadership team to ensure the project schedules are achieved. Ensure field team implements and manages Environmental, Storm Water and Safety programs in accordance with our policies and procedures. Maintains quality control focus with the field team to support the Quality Control program which will ensure project quality objectives are completed. Mentors and develops assigned project and field team members on essential key process and associated responsibility during the preconstruction, construction and project management cycle. Completes all closeout efforts in a timely manner by archiving project information in accordance with company policies and procedures. Good, professional writing skills and grammar. Provides professional customer service for construction services to our clients, resulting in a collaborative owner builder process within budget and with the highest quality project to the client’s satisfaction. Works with the engineer, project manager, estimator and other project team members in the preconstruction efforts to ensure the accomplishment of the service objectives and a seamless transition into the construction phase. Assists the pre planning efforts to ensure all aspects of the project are addressed prior to mobilization and throughout the construction process resulting in professional project management. Assists with field team implementation and management the company Environmental, Storm Water and Safety programs in accordance with our policies and procedures. Assists with all required risk management policies and procedures resulting in managed risk for the company on every project. Works to complete all closeout efforts in a timely manner by archiving project information in accordance with company policies and procedures. Responsible for regular, consistent attendance at the normal workplace and, in some instances, at job sites, regulatory agencies, owner, subcontractor, vendor and other company offices as required by work activities and supervision. Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment by modeling safe work behaviors, supporting and communicating safety work standards and holding direct reports accountable for compliance with safety policies and procedures. To ensure continuous growth of our business, each employee is responsible for the positive promotion of Company to external business partners and contacts and for sharing information regarding business opportunities with direct manager. Responsible for helping to develop each direct reports competencies and skills sets. Maintains regular communication with direct reports and actively engages in performance management process, employee development and problem-solving. Responsible for providing assistance with miscellaneous department duties and team initiatives as needed. Assists with directing all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications. Reads and understands the projects plans and specifications. Acts as technical professional for the estimating team. Leads the project team in planning and execution of project work plans and other project submittals and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Maintains positive relationships with customers, sub-contractors, suppliers and other employees. Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately. Ensures all company employees and contractors are adhere to the company safety policy. Maintains an organized and clean job site, including the construction office. Coordinates with designated Quality Control and Health Safety representatives to ensure iiCON Construction Colorado and project standards are met. Minimized company exposure and project performance risks. Supervises subcontractor and vendor procurement, material buyout and logistics coordination, preparation of subcontract scoping documents and consent packages, and subcontractor selection following applicable FAR and project requirements. Job Duties/Performance Expectations: Leads weekly Subcontractor meetings and take notes. Responsible for developing and updating project schedule. Assists and coordinates all construction activities Builds and maintains construction schedule, identifies and solves problems. Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout construction. Prepares field reports, quantity tracking, and other project reporting documents as needed. Leads the Stormwater documentation and inspections. Ensures that site inspections occur regularly for Safety and Stormwater violations/corrections. Conducts weekly and monthly safety inspections and leads weekly tool bar safety meetings. Ensure As-Built documents are maintained. Travel required. Administrative Responsibilities: Preparation and distribution of letters. Preparation and distribution of transmittals. Preparation of Excel spreadsheets. Preparation and submission of Request for Information. Maintain Project As-Built documents.
