Our Primary Load Builder is responsible for building unique loads containing PFW products on commercial trucks to be delivered across the Northwest. This position will construct loads based on customer orders taking note of drop off schedules and product dimensions. On a daily basis, you can expect to find yourself: Constructing loads of PFW material using orders produced by Sales Representatives for customer/construction site deliveries considering drop off schedules. Assists in securing loads appropriately. Loading and off-loading company trucks both by hand and with a forklift. Maintaining yard cleanliness during course of work. Working with Inside or Outside Sales Representatives to communicate with customers regarding delivery schedule, back ordered items and other product information. Ensuring that appropriate paperwork is completed per company protocol. Checking all paperwork for accuracy prior to load leaving the yard. Working with appropriate Sales Representative or Operations Manager to address questions or concerns. Assisting the Inventory Manager in maintaining an appropriate level of inventory. Notifies promptly of any shortages. Performing safety audits of forklift and promptly reporting any malfunctioning equipment. Assisting Material Handlers in filling orders of “walk-in" customers and other shipments as time allows. Wondering if you’re qualified? Here’s what we are looking for: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. Ability to understand weight, height, width and length limits for company’s fleet of trucks as to safely and lawfully load trucks. Knowledge of fittings, piping, chainlink, Ameristar, vinyl products, wood products and other PFW products. Basic math skills, with an ability to understand standard measurements. You must be able to regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Ability to work in all weather conditions. You must be able to properly demonstrate your ability to be reliable, possess a strong work ethic with a positive attitude, behave in a highly professional manner and have initiative while working independently with minimal supervision to produce accurate and timely work. This position is full-time and will work 5:00 am - 1:30 pm. The hourly pay rate starts at $20.00 during training, then increased to $22.00 per hour once fully trained.
