Description

Male unaltered pure bred Great Dane needs home. He’s 2.5 years of age! He’s a very big, very sweet goofball. Owner passed away and he’s been staying with my family temporarily. Owner was older gentleman and so this dog will need a lot of training. Plus he is kennel trained and loves being in his crate at night to sleep. Must have another medium, Large or Xtra large dog as he does not like being an only dog. He likes small dogs but he’s a big boy and does not know his own strength. He needs socialization he’s never left his home so he’s a giant scaredy-cat and just recently discovered car rides are not that bad if they end with him getting a pup cup. He loves to run so a place with acreage he would love. He’s done fine around live stock but he likes to chase kittys but not sure if he actually caught one if he would hurt it or not. He’s scared of our chickens so not sure if he would hurt them if he caught one. He’s been fine with my children but again he’s very large and has knocked over my youngest with his wiggles but never in a way to hurt them. I don’t think he’s ever been on a leash but he’s been learning slowly with walks with my other dogs. He’s not a fan of baths but seems to like the kids wading pool so I’ve just bathed him in there. He’s definitely a project and will need a special family that’s understanding and will be rewarded with a great big dumb boy when he gets some time put into him. He needs training and understanding and somebody willing to move slow with him. Small rehome fee that I will donate to your vet clinic for him to get his rabies vaccination as he’s got his others over the last few weeks. This is just a boy who lived on a lot of acreage his whole life and was too much dog for his previous owner and now needs a forever home and in return he will reward you with hours of zoomies, kisses, being your shadow and vacuum cleaner for life. Please contact me if you’re serious and can give this good boy a good home. He already lost his person he deserves a second chance.
