Experience a plus, but not necessary...will train the right candidate (moving yourself or your friends does not equal experience!). This is an opportunity to see the country! You will ride along with our Interstate Household Goods driver in a nice, new big rig with Sleeper Bunks. Loading, Transporting and Unloading families' household goods. Across 48 States! You MUST be able to leave your home (out of State) for long periods of time! Check with your Spouse or Girlfriend FIRST, before committing to this. During the Summer, there are some trips that last a month or two. It can be a deal breaker for a lot of relationships. However, a GREAT opportunity for the right candidate to learn a new trade...make GREAT money PLUS tips from some customers! All candidates need to have the following qualities: Clean cut and Professional appearance Valid drivers license Legal US Citizen Must be able to communicate effectively in English 18 yrs or older You must be Drug & Alcohol free.. Including smoking weed. (This is SERIOUS..if you have ANY issues with this (recreational OR medicinal is NOT allowed per FEDERAL laws!)...do not apply! We have frequent, random/ surprise drug & alcohol testing as an agent for a major world wide van line) MUST pass a criminal background check (absolutely NO felonies!) Strength AND Endurance required...must be able to lift 50-150 lbs repeatedly (usually with tools)...this is a HARD, PHYSICAL job! We will train how to safely use tools and equipment such as hand trucks, hump straps, ramps, dollies, etc Exhibit high level of patience and customer service skills. Our driver prefers a non smoker...if you do smoke, you would NOT be allowed to smoke in our vehicles, trailers or around customer's home or warehouse (in accordance with Van Line requirements) If you have met all of the above requirements without being scared away, then you are probably the right candidate....we definitely need to talk!
