Eastern States Steel, a 40+ year old family owned steel service center, is looking to add several members to our team at our steel plant located in Norristown, PA. Available Positions: Saw Operator Position (2 available): $14.00+ quickly moving to $16.00/hr upon production goals Driving fork lift for handling 20' and smaller bundles of rebar and other structural steel, banding, and operating band saw according to production reports. Misc warehouse tasks. Structural Office Admin: $20.00/hr+ upon experience Diverse and challenging position requiring flexible talented individual responsible for receiving incoming structural material in yard, inventory management, production reports, stocking program management, customer relations, data entry and logistics. Mostly office work with mixed in need for getting out to the warehouse or yard to work with inventory. Shipping Loader: $16.00+ upon experience Responsibilities include loading and unloading all incoming and outgoing trucks in yard. Working with bills of lading and purchase orders. Managing material storage. Working with production for both structural and flat roll in preparing outgoing orders. Misc warehouse tasks. Welder: $18.00/hr+ upon experience Diverse position working mostly with production coming off of CNC plasma table. Post processing work from plasma table, inventory management, production of various in-house products and toll work. Likely have responsibilities mixed in with evolving soil amendment business. CNC Table Operator: $18.00/hr+ upon experience Brand new custom built CNC 5' x 10' plasma table with 6" bubbler water table featuring Hypertherm's 85sync with a 3/4" pierce ability and fine detail down to 26G. Table converts into a 5' x 10' router table with a 4hp spindle motor. Side mounted is a 4th axis sidecar with a 10" tri-point chuck set up as a pipe cutter but will be multi-functional for tube and 3 dimensional router work. Mainly focusing on the plasma and pipe cutting will be working with in-house products and toll-processing work as well as post processing, the metal fab shop, the wood working shop, and welding. Several Positions for Immediate Hire 7.45am - 4.30pm shift. Health benefits (25/75) available after 3 months. Year round full time position(s), 40 hours a week guaranteed. We are building a strong team, with dependable, honest, and hard working individuals. Often there is no experience required, we are willing to train. We almost entirely promote from within. We are also currently building a organic soil amendment company and have recently added a CNC plasma/router/4th axis machine and metal fabrication to the shop.
