Our Kennel Care Team is looking for a new PART TIME member! As a kennel team member, we maintain an extremely clean and pleasant housing area for pets who are in the care of our veterinary hospital. Responsibilities include: Feeding, watering, bathing, and cleaning up after the animals in our care Inspecting kennel areas and each animal for any signs of abnormal activity and reporting any abnormal findings to the veterinarian on vet technician on duty Keeping all kennel areas clean at all times (i.e. sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, laundering bedding,) Handling intake and release of non-medical stay borders Light clerical and janitorial duties as assigned The successful candidate must have: One year experience handling dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, excellent multi-tasking, observational and communication skills (written and verbal), as well as enjoy working in a fast paced, busy environment, where you spend most of your shift on your feet. Experience working in a small animal kennel, small animal daycare or boarding facility is a definite plus! The successful candidate must be able to: Stand for extended periods of time during the work shift, bend/kneel during the work shift, lift and carry a minimum of 35 lbs, work flexible part time schedules which includes morning and afternoon/evening shifts, two weekends per month (Sat. and Sun.) and some holidays.'
