I am thinking of starting a 70/80s dance band. Don't want to play blues and a lot of the "standard" songs everyone plays. Nothing wrong with those songs. People like hearing them. I am looking to play the songs that people like, but no one plays. Kind of like "oh I remember and loved that song" About myself. I played in a road bar band for 6 years in the 80s and on and off in local bands in Pensacola and Orlando. I play guitar and some keys. I can do some vocals. Due to a bronchial infection some years ago, I no longer have the voice I used to have. I am looking for keyboard, bass, drummer and a girl singer, maybe a second guitarist if can't find a keyboard player. Backup vocals are important as harmonies can make or break a song.
