Do you want to share your experiences and thoughts on policing and the criminal justice system? If you are over 18 years old and live in Detroit, you may be eligible! I am a graduate student at Cornell University looking for Detroiters to interview for a research study. The study looks at how the racial identity of police officers in relation to the racial identity of community residents impacts participation in politics. Interviews will be held over the phone or video call (Zoom, Skype, etc.) and are completely confidential. The interview will be one-on-one and will take around 45 minutes to complete. Insights gained from this research will be used in future projects aimed at creating and providing policy recommendations to lawmakers to enhance the participation of all people in the American political process. As a thanks, participants are given a $15 Visa Gift Card for their time. To participate, you must be: 1. At least 18 years old 2. A current resident in Detroit 3.
