Greenskeeper (Rancho Bernardo) compensation: Hourly employment type: full-time Golf Course in Rancho Bernardo is seeking to hire a full-time Groundskeeper. Will work under the direction of the Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendent. The ideal candidate will have previous landscaping experience. What you can expect to do in this role: Operate tractors, trucks, fairways mowers, and other motorized equipment on the golf course. Changes cups, preforms tee service, and do related work as required. Operates small equipment on the golf course. Does semi-skilled grounds maintenance work. Performs such tasks as bunker raking and edging, hand mowing, weed eating, planting, trimming, weeding, housekeeping, etc. Inspects golf course maintenance equipment and checks fluid levels before operation. Fuels and lubricates equipment when necessary. Clean and washes equipment after each use and before storage. Additional duties as assigned. Responsibilities: Report to work on time and on scheduled days. This often includes weekends and holidays. Ensure that policies and procedures as well as safety and compliance expectations are met. Have strong time management and organizational skills. Good communication skills. Good ability to work independently and also dependable within a team. Strong adherence to ethical standards. Practice safe work habits to avoid injury to self and others. Physical demands: Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use fingers, handle and feel objects, tools or controls, and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work environment: Will need to regularly work outside in all types of weather conditions and is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, as well as frequently being exposed to extreme heat.
