Landscaping / Ground Maintenance – Crew Member We are a family-owned and operated business and we care about each of our employees. Our office is located in Mill Creek. We are a landscaping and maintenance company dedicated to providing services to community associations: homeowners associations (HOAs), townhomes, and condominium buildings. We provide both landscaping services (regular landscaping services, irrigation services, mulch/bark project etc.) and maintenance services (fence repairs/replacement, graffiti removal, small building maintenance, staining/painting, cleaning, etc.). Job description You will be part of a crew responsible for the regular landscaping services of a group of communities and perform small maintenance/work orders as needed/assigned by management company. Shift: 7am to 4:30pm (Monday through Friday). Opportunities for overtime hours. The position includes the following responsibilities & tasks: - Prepare vehicles for landscape maintenance routes, assuring all tools and equipment are loaded safely. - Follow field operation procedures, assuring all safety guidelines and regulations are met including proper usage of ear and eye protection. - Maintain equipment as directed using specified maintenance requirements. Check vehicles and trailers for safe and efficient operations, using maintenance specifications, as directed. Sharpen mower blades, and pruning tools, using safety and maintenance specifications. - Take an active part in safety and team meetings; maintain a cooperative and positive attitude. Maintain safe and productive work habits, assuring job sites are maintained in a professional manner. - Promote a positive team atmosphere with coworkers. Demonstrate the ability to effectively lead by example and treat all coworkers with respect and dignity. Report to work consistently and promptly. - Professional appearance in presentation and attire is required. - Respond to client questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner and report client concerns to management. - Report time spent on each job site daily, noting exceptions to the supervisor. - Other duties as assigned by Crew Lead or Management - Knowledge of how to use and operate safely hand/power equipment involved OR willing to be trained in any categories of landscape construction/maintenance in which you may have need of instruction. - Maintain adherence to predetermined specification for: mowing heights, edging requirements and clean-up procedures. Follow predetermined specifications in the maintenance of shrub beds, seasonal color beds and hard surface areas, as required. Qualifications - Experience in outdoor and landscape maintenance - Experience in landscaping services for at least 1 year - Experience in small maintenance (fence repairs, small building maintenance, etc.) - Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions and must possess proper gear to do so. - Good health with adequate strength/endurance to preform work and to lift, carry, push or pull a variety of tools and equipment for the job. - Must have a valid Washington State Drivers License and insurability. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. - Applicants must be able to lift 60 lbs and be a legal US resident. - Excellent communication skills, and multi-lingual a plus. - We are a non-smoking company.
