Description
Four parrotlets looking for new homes! All four were hand raised but none have been worked with recently so I wouldn’t consider them currently tame. I do believe they can be worked with more still however! Prior parrotlet knowledge is a huge plus, these AREN’T cuddly birds like cockatiels and even tame parrotlets tend to be highly territorial and generally prefer to live alone. Even mated pairs can fight to the death after years of living in harmony- please do research before inquiring about them! Big personalities aside, they are quirky little birds that love to explore and live for scritches (head scratches).
All four are used to having a varied diet of gourmet seed (Higgins cockatiel and golden feast blends), tops pellets, daily fresh vegetable chop, soaked seeds, and cooked birdie foods and breads.
They don’t all need to go together except the m/f pair. The two females (blue and pied) can go individually as they aren’t bonded.
American white female + green marble male - both around a year old and have laid fertile eggs but haven’t ever hatched a clutch (500/both with cage)
Blue female - least tame of them all, hasn’t been worked with very much. She’s around 4-5 years old (120 no cage)
Turquoise pied female - came from a breeder on the east coast and is about 8 months old. Hand fed/raised can still be worked with but is starting to become a bit hormonal as she reaches maturity (475 with cage)
Meet up in Olympia ONLY in a public location. I do not allow people in my home to “meet” the birds, not only is this risky health and safety wise it’s also completely pointless since birds aren’t going to behave normally for strangers until they’re comfortable. Meet up within an hour of Oly can be arranged for a fee to help cover gas and time.
If this add is still up then I am still looking for homes!
