Description
Responsible for organizing seed corn orders and treating soybean and wheat seed. Must perform maintenance of seed, warehouse and agronomy equipment. Deliver seed and agronomy products to customers or applicators when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, and assist with administrative duties. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to hand dolly, forklift, electric dolly, pallet jack, and/or elevator. • Performs quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and products. • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures. • Picks, packs, and ships materials and products. • Processes all packages for shipping; processes returned merchandise. • Conducts physical inventory counts; replenishes stock from back-up locations as needed. • Maintains a safe, clean working environment. QUALIFICATIONS: • HS Diploma or equivalent required. • Good computer skills with an emphasis on Excel. • Class B CDL preferred, but not required. • Forklift certified preferred, but not required. • Must work seasonal overtime, including weekends and holidays, at times. • Must be able to lift 75 lbs. throughout the day. • Ability to work with minimal supervision. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to chemicals, moving, mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise levels, internal and external temperature/weather conditions, and extended work days. A large percentage of work time is spent in the warehouse where temperatures are cool and noise level may be moderate to high. The employee in this position is frequently required to do the following: • Lift and move a minimum of 70 pounds without assistance • Climb a ladder to a height of at least 20 feet • Walk, bend, and climb stairs • Stand for long periods of time
