Dewees Island is a unique private, 1200 acre oceanfront island located a few miles north of historic Charleston, South Carolina. Located at the end of 60 miles of protected parkland, Dewees is a community within a conservation easement, protected in perpetuity. It offers sanctuary in miles of private beaches and marsh with unparalleled opportunities to enjoy wildlife, experience the breeze in the palmettos, and immerse yourself in the peace and tranquility of the natural beauty of the Lowcountry. Dewees is reachable by a private 20 minute ferry ride from the Isle of Palms. The island is peaceful and quiet without restaurants or stores. We are currently seeking part time/ relief deckhands and captains to join our ferry crew. If you enjoy working outdoors on the water don't pass up this opportunity to join our team! Captains should hold a minimum 25 ton USCG masters license. Deckhands should excel in customer service and be willing to learn basic seamanship skills and work within USCG regulations for small passenger vessels.
