Road Work To Close Loop Parkway Ramps Overnight

LIDO BEACH, NY — The ramps between the Loop Parkway and the northbound Meadowbrook State Parkway will be closed for one night next week. The New York State Department of Transportation said that he closures are planned for Wednesday, Sept. 9 between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. so work crews can repair guiderails. Sept. 10 is the rain date for the work. Drivers on the northbound Meadowbrook can access the Loop Parkway by continuing for approximately one mile north to the "TURNAROUND" and travel southbound for exit M10. Traffic from the Loop will be detoured onto southbound Meadowbrook to Bay Parkway towards the Jones Beach Theater and then immediately exit onto the northbound Meadowbrook. Additional information will be posted on electronic variable message signs in the area. As with most road projects, work may be cancelled, postponed, or prolonged due to inclement weather.
