Experience regenerative adventure travel as we explore and kayak on the Willamette River and take part in a watershed restoration project. Join First Nature Tours for an overnight outing that includes guided kayaking on the magical Willamette River, vital watershed service projects alongside a local nonprofit, cozy craft beverage tastings, and modern accommodations. You will leave the weekend with a deeper connection and understanding with nature and the local community. Day One: We have a shuttle service that will pick you up from Portland, OR , or meet us in the Salem-Independence Area. Once in Independence, enjoy the scenery on a guided kayak tour along the Willamette River. Our professional guides will share the rich ecology and history as you paddle. After a picnic lunch our partners will lead the group in watershed restoration service project that we will continue on Day Two. This restoration project mulching plantings along Ash Creek at restoration site with Luckiamute Watershed Council. Finally, we will wind down and enjoy local wine while a local non-profit leads a discussion on community and regeneration. Day Two: We start the day with another kayak trip departing directly from river coast in front of the hotel. Afterwards, we will finish the service project before heading to a picnic lunch accompanied by craft brews. The price of this booking includes all meals, transportation, activities, and hotel stay.
