Celebrate 2022 West Virginia Historic Preservation award winners with hors d'oeuvres in the garden, a tour, dinner, and awards reception. Join PAWV in honoring the people working to save West Virginia's unique cultural heritage at this special event, held at J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works in Charleston, West Virginia on Saturday, July 23. The evening includes a selection of hors d'oeuvres in the garden with cash bar for alcoholic drinks, followed by an optional tour of the salt-works, a farm-to-table plated dinner on the lawn, awards program, and silent auction and raffle. Each event ticket includes one raffle ticket! All are welcome at this event - your attendance not only gets you a fun & delicious night with like-minded folks at the Salt-Works, but also aids PAWV's work to support and promote historic preservation through education & outreach, advocacy, preservation tools, and heritage tourism. The hors d'oeuvres and plated dinner are catered by 1010 Bridge, and are sure to be delectable since Chef Paul Smith is doing the cooking! Hors D'oeuvres include applewood smoked bacon wrapped dates and raspberry and brie tartlet. Dinner includes: Salad course: Seasonal field greens with grilled peaches, goat cheese and candied pistachios; Choice of entrée protein: Flying W Farms grilled angus beef tenderloin with chimichurri and horseradish sauces or Wilson Mills pecan crusted trout with maple, bacon and onion hash; Sides: Bloody butcher grits with mascarpone & crispy oregano; braised brussel sprouts with red onion marmalade; Choice of dessert: Nutella cheesecake with toasted marshmallow fluff or J.Q.
