Description

Join us for an evening of games, food and fun at the museum! Sup Recess Fam, Join Recess for "Teen Night" on Friday, May 13th at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History! Recess Cleveland is bringing out some of our new bounce houses and we're also hosting competitions where winners get prizes. Once enough people arrive, we would like to organize games of kickball, dodgeball, tug-of-war, and more. What to expect? A typical Recess event features bounce houses, food, music, art, dancing, card games (e.g spades, Uno, etc.), recess games (Dodgeball, Kickball, Gellyball, etc), a loose parts area (bubbles, giant blocks, fort building kits, etc) and free-play games (Connect 4, Jenga, etc.). You are free to play whatever game(s) you like at the event! All that we ask is that you fill out a feedback form after you leave the event. There will be people from all over the city, and it's a great way to get to know your community. Best of all, it's a free event! Recess Cleveland is a local nonprofit that builds healthy, active, and social communities using recess and organized sports. Recess is a great way to make new friends, and stay active! What should I expect? Again, this is another test run to see what games we can actually work in our new space. A typical game night features card games (e.g spades, Uno, etc.), group games (charades, taboo, Jackbox, etc), athletic games (Dodgeball, laser tag, Gellyball, etc), and free-play games (Connect 4, jenga, etc.). You are free to play whatever game(s) you like throughout the night, or you could also sit back and enjoy the music/karaoke. All that we ask is that you fill out a feedback form at the end of the night. What should I wear? We recommend casual clothes, but feel free to wear whatever you're comfortable with. If you plan on playing some of the phyiscal games (like dodgeball for instance), please wear sneakers or athletic shoes. But what about COVID... Recess Cleveland has spent the past year researching and practicing ways to get out a play safely during a pandemic. Masks are currently optional for all indoor events, and they are also optional at this event. We will have plenty of sanitizer and masks available for anyone who asks. Anything else? We are so grateful for all of the support over the years. Words can't describe how excited we are to show everyone the new indoor space! Bring a friend, we look forward to seeing you there! Make sure to text TEENNIGHT to 216-242-2282 for an invite and more info! Feel free to privately share this event with your friends! About Recess Cleveland...
