Were you thinking to yourself, "I'd like to work today but only if I can helps some guy clear some rocks and set a couple of fence posts and otherwise prepare a spot in his equipment yard for the delivery of a 20' shipping container tomorrow." Well, holy shit are you in luck! That is pretty much it. This gig is for today, Tuesday the 3rd of May and tomorrow Wednesday the 4th of May. Most of the site preparation has been done. Today we need to set a couple of fence posts and mix and set concrete pavers. Rocket science it isn't. Tomorrow the dude is going to deliver the first of two, 20' shipping containers. He is going to drop it in place but the placement won't be perfect. Then we are going to use pulleys, logs, ropes, and levers to scooch the shipping container in place. JUST LIKE HOW THEY BUILT THE PYRAMIDS. Where is this exciting gig you ask? My equipment yard Uptown. It is the house with the really cool Dr. Joh Mural on it. When? As close the crack of 8:30 as you can make it. I will be hiring two people. I am not posting the exact address because you can’t just show. People actually do this and it drives me nuts. I have to REPLY to you and hire you for the gig. Please, please don’t just say, “I’m down,” or something like that. I don’t expect a resume and a cover letter but you gotta give me SOMETHING to go on. If you say something like, “I can do it,” that is not enough for me to make a snap judgement on how likely your are to show up. A pic would be nice. Really. Why? So I can look for visual clues like whether or not you are reasonably groomed (good) or have one of those tear drop tattoos indicating you killed someone in prison (bad). Bonus points for cool hair (good.) I’ll pay for lunch. At the end of the day you will be paid in cold, hard, Venmo. $17/hr. We’ll be finished mid-afternoon.
