Description

Raising money for Ukraine through free food and beer. Profits from our Ukrainian Imperial Stout, t-shirts, etc will be donated. Beer For Bombs is a charitable project brewed by 26 Degree Brewing Co. in Pompano Beach, FL, and partly funded by leaders of the Society of Professional Journalists, the nation’s largest (7,000 members) and oldest (founded 1909) journalism organization. No RSVP or ticket necessary. This is a free event open to the public. On May 7, the first **50** attendees to buy Beer For Bombs on draft will receive a Beer For Bombs can FREE. Also join us for: -Free food from Flanigan's -Discounted beer flights, with a tasting lesson hosted by Broward Beer -Brewery tours -A recorded message from the owners of Pravda Brewery The recipe was inspired by Pravda Brewery in Lviv, Ukraine. The brewery has stopped making beer and converted its bottling facility into making Molotov cocktails. The owners have shared their recipe with the world and asked anyone to brew it. That’s a big deal in the craft beer world because your recipe is your business. SPJ will name the beer after journalists who have been killed covering the war: Pierre Zakrzewski, Oleksandra “Sasha” Kuvshynova, and Brent Renaud. Since the project’s initial conception, more slain journalists have been identified and unfortunately probably won’t be the last. The goal is to use Beer for Bombs as a vehicle to spread awareness while raising funds to donate directly to the owners of Pravda in Ukraine. Our proceeds will go back to the Ukraine brewery to make more Molotov cocktails. Screw humanitarian aid. We want to kill the soldiers killing journalists. As Joe Pye from Broward Beer said the other day, “This is the only time I condone violence.”
