Zip Code Prep -- Get ready for Zip Code Wilmington's application process in four weeks! Are you ready to give yourself a raise? Do you want to get into Zip Code, but you just don't know what the next steps should be? If so, you are not alone. That's why we created an exclusive opportunity for you! It's called Zip Code Prep. Zip Code Prep is a 4-week part-time in-person evening course designed to help potential candidates for Zip Code Wilmington prepare for its admissions process. The program will run June 6 - June 30 (Mondays - Thursdays, 5:30pm-7:30pm). The class will be either at Zip Code Wilmington or the CEB Building in downtown Wilmington. (Instructors will be remote, but in-person opportunities to meet with students will be provided, upon request.) As a participant you will be provided with : Technical instruction on basic Javascript principles and math skills so that you will feel confident when taking the Zip Code Wilmington assessment. Professional development support to help you prepare a resume for your application as well as basic interview preparation support so that you will feel confident taking on group and final interviews. Opportunities to meet Zip Code Wilmington alumni who will share their experiences about applying to the program. Zip Code Prep is FREE - offered at no cost to participants. For those students without access to a laptop, rental laptops will be provided at no cost for use during the program. Eligibility: Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent (as of June 1, 2022)Must be referred by a Zip Code Wilmington community partner (e.g., DCAD, CEB, YWCA, Survivor Ventures or others).You are encouraged to attend a free information session on either May 12 or May 16 at 6:30pm. You can attend in-person at Zip Code's on-site location, or virtually through Zoom. Participants are not guaranteed admission into the Zip Code Wilmington training program due to their participation in the Zip Code Prep. Participants are encouraged, but are not required, to complete the training program application process upon completion of Zip Code Prep.
