Have you ever wondered what happens to your stuff after you've set it out on the curb for recycling, composting, or to go to the landfill? Join URA for a tour of Trans-Jordan Landfill- a waste management facility in South Jordan, Utah. For more than 20 years, The Trans-Jordan Landfill has been operating and promoting sustainable programs that encourage community residents to become better stewards of the environment.On this educational landfill tour, you'll get an up-close look at the daily landfill operations, environmental control systems, recycling programs, and recycling best practices. Tour guests will be riding together in Trans-Jordan Landfill's tour van to view the operations of the landfill. There is limited seating, so please be sure to register all attendees in order to ensure your seat. PLEASE NOTE: All tour attendees must be pre-registered for the tour through Eventbrite. There is limited seating for this tour so if you bring a guest who has not registered in advance, we may not be able to accomodate them on the van.All attendees must be 6 or older. All minors (ages 6-17) must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian for the entire tour.
