Description

Sometimes we have a ‘gut feeling’ about a security situation but aren’t sure what to do about it. Sometimes we have a ‘gut feeling’ about a security situation but aren’t sure what to do about it. There’s a methodology to be learned that allows us to clearly define a situation and make decisions about suspicion indicators by linking them to probable adversarial MOs. These tools allow anyone responsible for security be they security officers, departmental managers, law enforcement agents or even general staff to assess threats in their operational environment. The result is a proactive stance and a much harder target. The ultimate objective is making your transit hub safer and to reap the benefits of having all stakeholders ‘on the same page.’ A shared security perspective (and lingo) can be a real force multiplier. The San Antonio Aviation Department, Security Division, is hosting a unique security seminar in Proactive Threat Assessment on May 25th. The 4-hour session covers: • The nature of threat and the common denominators for all man-made threat • The important relationship between threat, risk and suspicion. • How the adversary plans and executes an attack and how that knowledge makes us proactive. • Methods to use for assessing a person, situation or object. • How to use Security Questioning. • The use and practice of red teaming for training and security quality assurance. The trainer for this seminar is Amotz Brandes, Managing Partner at Chameleon Associates. Amotz began his career in an Israeli Defense Forces special reconnaissance unit. Later, he joined El Al Airlines as a security agent and profiler. In 2002, he established Chameleon’s consulting and training department. His expertise includes threat assessment and mitigation, intelligence, insider threat, red teaming and penetration testing, security questioning, corporate security, security engineering, and the Israeli Security Model. He has taught students in a wide range of sectors from private, non-profit and corporate to military and government. Chameleon clients for training come from aviation, mass transit, retail, entertainment, academia, military, law enforcement, banking, tourism and more.
