River Clean Up! Did you know that Dirty Girl Adventures adopts one of the Kaw River Access Ramps? It’s true, we do! We are members of Friends of the Kaw and we LOVE our Kansas River. Come out to join us for some volunteer time on the River. Join us and our adoption partner Up a Creek for a CLEAN UP SESSION at Rising Sun River Access in Lecompton. WHEN: Monday May 16th at 6pm WHERE: Rising Sun River Access Directions: From US-24, turn south on Lecompton Road east of the town of Perry, and continue 2.5 miles. The access road is on the right just before the bridge. Look for the sign indicating Lecompton Rising Sun Kansas River Access. Take the park road that leads to the gravel parking lot. The concrete ramp is at the far end of the parking lot. WHAT: Help us clean up the area by picking up trash, trimming branches and have fun while we are together. We will supply the trash bags and other supplies – PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WORK GLOVES.
