As we connected with our community for a theme that resonated this year, we noticed a collective desire to pause, rethink, and possibly reconfigure our lives. We heard it everywhere: people are questioning whether to stay in California, whether to keep an unfulfilling job, if they'll have enough to retire, how we can have more civil political discourse, with almost everyone expressing a yearning to find more meaning and purpose in everyday life. So we have built our show around those topics. We'll cover some of the issues contributing to the desire for a California exodus (like water, fire, and affordability. We will explore strategies for more meaningful daily lives and jobs. We will present a deep look at the emerging co-living / intentional community movement and we will present fresh research on a just-completed study to create less divisiveness in our civil discourse and democracy. In the last two years, we were reminded that our world, our democracy, and our healthy lives are far more fragile than we wanted to believe. There seems to be a heightened yearning for meaning, a greater purpose in our daily pursuits, something beyond accumulating wealth and creature comforts— a desire to leave behind a better world than we inherited. We hope you will join us for a thoughtful and fun community event... Its time To enquire about a Demo/Info table at the pre-show gathering. Call the office at 415-785-8873.
