NASSAU COUNTY, NY — The Nassau County Police Department reported the following thefts from cars for the week ending Oct. 8.
Items were stolen from an unlocked car parked on Robert Avenue in Elmont on Oct. 1.Both license plates were stolen from a car parked at Marshals on Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont on Oct. 1.Airbags were stolen from a car parked at Tower Ford on Middle Neck Road in Thomaston on Oct. 2.Items were stolen from a car parked on Anthony Lane in Massapequa on Oct. 2.Items were stolen from an unlocked car parked on Amby Avenue in Plainview on Oct. 2.Both license plates were stolen from a car parked on New South Road in Hicksville on Oct. 3.Items were stolen from an unlocked car parked on 15th Street in Mineola on Oct. 2.$5 was stolen from an unlocked car parked on Glazer Lane in Levittown on Oct. 4.The front passenger-side window was smashed on a car parked on Redfern Avenue in Inwood on Oct. 5 and a Bosch drill was stolen.Items were stolen from a car parked on Azalea Drive in Syosset on Oct. 6.Both license plates were stolen from a car parked on Verity Lane in Baldwin on Oct. 6.A wallet was stolen from an unlocked car parked on Front Street in Uniondale on Oct. 6.A phone charger was stolen from an unlocked car parked on Orchard Street in Westbury on Oct. 3.A handicap permit was stolen from an unlocked car parked on Dallas Avenue in North New Hyde Park on Oct. 7.
