The first was very successful in 2019. Like many wonderful community events, the WSN Conference was interrupted by COVID. “We are excited to hold our Conference again and we feel that Castle Air Museum is a wonderful site with plenty of easy parking and large meeting areas,” said Kari Ross May of Central Valley Community Bank. “We hope to see many of our local business women attending.” The focus of WSN is “women helping women” in business. It’s a strong contact network which does generate leads from members to members, but it has a softer side. “When we held our first meeting we had no idea it would last this long. Now it’s a sisterhood of business women, all sharing ideas and leads with each other,” said Kathy Johnson-McDaniel of Mary Kay Cosmetics. Realtor Kay Flanagan explains it this way, “This is a great hard working group of ladies that are dedicated to their jobs. I never worry about referring people to any of these ladies.” Johnson-McDaniel and Flanagan are among the women who founded WSN in 2005. Members are a nice mix of small business owners and high level professionals. Women interested in learning more about the group are invited to visit a meeting any Tuesday at five.ten.bistro at noon, check the Women’s Spotlight Network Facebook page, or call (209) 722-6778.
