Learn how to welcome and use the cultural knowledge, prior experiences, and frames of reference of diverse students. Audience: TK-12 teachers | school site administrators Presenter: Beth Hampson LCOE Learning Support Specialist Every student wants to be seen, valued, and understood. In this workshop teachers and school leaders will learn how to welcome and use the cultural knowledge, prior experiences, and frames of reference of diverse students to make learning more relevant and effective, and create a safe space where diversity is an asset to learning. Session Format: One day, with presentations on best practices and their implementation, individual and group work, and time for reflection. Stipend: $100 stipend upon completion of the one-day training. Stipends are subject to employer's costs.
