Come have fun and explore how the arts can be connected to units of study to engage all students! Audience: TK-12 teachers Presenter: Dana Adams LCOE Learning Support Specialist We will explore how the arts can be connected to units of study to engage all students and promote student-centered joyful learning! This hands-on workshop will explore the arts through mini routines, and bigger ideas. While we are not professional artists, and few of your students will become professional artists, we can all benefit from learning to think like an artist! In this session, we will use the research-based artistic behaviors of The Studio Habits of Mind to expand student learning and develop critical thinkers while art-making. Session Format: One day hands-on activities designed to grow comfort levels around using the arts to promote learning. Stipend: $100 stipend upon completion of the one-day training.
