The research is clear that all students can become powerful math learners and that students learn best when they are actively engaged in questioning, struggling, problem solving, reasoning, communicating, making connections, and explaining. Learn about the new focus on Big Ideas of the content standards and ways to enrich student agency through rich open-ended tasks.
Session Format: One day, hands on rich tasks and routines for reasoning
Day 1 June 14, 2022: grades TK-5
Day 2 June 15, 2022: grades 6-12
Stipend: $100 stipend upon completion of the one-day training, plus the first 30 to register will receive a copy of Jo Boaler's Mathematical Mindsets. Stipends are subject to employer's costs.
