Steward Medical Group, Brighton, Newton, Brookline, Chestnut Hill, Norwood, Needham -Monday – Friday Summary: To function as a member of a team and complete all clinical daily tasks to ensure smooth day to day operations in a busy medical office practice. Responsibilities: Take vitals when necessary Prepare the daily schedules for the office, pull and prepare the patient charts, ensure that the proper chart has been selected and the appropriate paperwork has been attached to the chart (i.e., encounter form, etc.)Room placementRecord patient history, chief complaint, pharmacy info, prescription list, etc. into EMR for physical Supply ordering Stocking of rooms Ordering tests, obtaining prior authorizationsRequesting and obtaining referrals for patient visits and surgery Additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Graduate of a Certified Medical Assistant program required 1 to 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred; however, new graduates welcomeHigh School Diploma or equivalentExperience with electronic medical record (EMR) strongly preferred (Athena/ECW a plus)Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook requiredSome travel may be required within the market To apply, please send resumes or inquiries to: Kimberly Hubbard, Sr. HR Advisor, Email: [email protected] Steward Health Care System LLC ("Steward") is a fully integrated, physician-led national health care services organization committed to providing the highest quality of care in the most cost-efficient manner in the communities where our patients live.
