VALRICO, FL — Two teenage siblings face charges of murder in the first degree after a man was shot during a drug transaction with the teens in Valrico, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said. Henry McGall IV, 18, and his 15-year-old sister met the victim on Wednesday night at 10:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of Fontana Place, authorities said. A witness told deputies that the 15-year-old and the victim made an agreement about a drug transaction, but the 15-year-old attempted to rob the victim instead of following through, investigators said. A few minutes later, McGall approached the driver's side of the vehicle, raised a handgun, and fired one shot into the car, hitting the victim, detectives said. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he was dead upon arrival, deputies said. "Any loss of life is tragic, it's even worse when it involves two young people who made such a horrible choice," Sheriff Chad Chronister. "I'm thankful that our detectives were able to identify these two individuals and have them under arrest within 24 hours." Patch will not release the name of the 15-year-old since she is a minor. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office will not release the name of the victim in accordance with Marsy's Law. The victim had an argument with a man and a woman in the 4000 block of Fontana Place in Valrico before midnight, authorities said. At 12:07 a.m., police received a phone call from Brandon Regional Hospital about a man who died from a gunshot wound to the upper body, investigators said. A friend had driven the victim to the hospital after the incident, detectives said. The man suspect shot the victim, investigators said. "This is an active investigation," Sheriff Chad Chronister. "We are still investigating whether or not these two parties knew each other prior to the deadly shooting that took place earlier this morning.
