BRANDON, FL — A Brandon house caught fire twice about 10 hours apart Sunday night and again Monday morning, according to a Hillsborough County Fire Rescue news release. The first fire occurred about 7:30 p.m. at the single-story house, in the 400 block of Van Reed Manor Drive. Authorities said a lightning strike ignited a blaze. Fire rescue crews had the fire under control within 15 minutes. Three adult family members who were inside the home got out safely, the news release said. The second fire engulfed the entire home, according to WFLA's aerial news footage. It began just before 6:06 a.m. The family was not inside the home at the time, officials said. Firefighters extinguished the flames by 8 a.m., officials said. No injuries have been reported, a news release said. Authorities said the cause of the second fire has not been determined by Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.
